Normally, you can change the date of production order directly with t-code: CO02.
And for changing requirement date in the Sales order will not impact the date of production order if you do not "Read PP master data". since "Read PP mater data" cannot be executed when the production order be confirmed/ Goods issue ... etc. So I think you should not change the date in Sales order, you can just change the date in Production order.
