Order based dummy products

Does anyone know if dummy materials are supported in Order Response?

Hi Carlos,

Order based planning contains the external master data types and data coming from external sources integration from SAP ECC or S/4HANA and non SAP systems using OpenAPI. You can not maintain the master data in order based planning it should come from external sources.

If you want to create a dummy products create it in external systems and integrated to order based planning and run the process.

What I mean is what happen if I have dummy products in ECC. Are they transferred as dummy positions?If they don´t have production version in ecc, do they need it to transfer to IBP?

It is a business decision. Dummy products are not relevant for planning process so first option would not transfer it to IBP, another option is if those products are really required a planning then create the relevant master data (production version) and transfer it to IBP, make sure that you have a demand for those products to plan in IBP.
