New Plants under same company code

Hello Experts,

our structure now is 5 plants with 5 company codes, now we need to merge all these 5 plants under only 1 company code when we lock the old plants, we need to transfer any open document as (PO's & PR's) to the new plants but under 1 company code.

if someone has faced this experience can help me with the solution.

This would be complete migration of your transactional data -- Can not you simply do it with assignments or config changes as you have to consult finance on their impact -- make sure you bring only Open POs as conversion. You can not simply update the plants --it has to be done thought-through and done logically -- including the inventory transfer.

Consider it like New plants under the Company code-- and a project of data migration of 5 plants for master data as well as transactional data. It is not only SCM impact but other areas impact as well, especially FInance.
