Dear all,

One of my client is facing an issue with Report MC.9. They are using split Valuation and Because of that they see stock sometime in one valuation class sometime in other and due to that they can't evaluate the stock properly. SAP has suggested us to create a new Info Structure (instead of using S032) taking valuation class as new Characteristic I searched many Blogs regarding this but couldn't find a proper Process Document for Application 03 (Inventory Controlling).

SAP provided a Note 38891 but it was not really helpful, Kindly help me with the same.

Thanks in Advance !

Hello Dominik, Thank you for replying! I have created an Info-structure and maintained its Updating Rule, then I am executing it through MCSK but getting No data output. Am I leaving any step, please guide me through this. I have also attached screenshots above.

Hello @Pradeep93

Indeed the note 38891 is not useful for your case at all.

The general procedure to define INVCO info structures is described in the note 483735 - Self-defined info structures with reference S031, S032, S039 However you need to have some LIS knowledge to implement such info structures.

Bare in mind that MC.9 can't be used with custom INVCO info structures. They have to be used with MCSK instead. If you go with custom info structures, you are going to lose all the additional features of MC.9 as compared to MCSK.

On top of that notice that INVCO is unfortunately obsolete in S/4HANA - notes:

That is due to the fact that the new late locking strategy in S/4HANA is incompatible with INVCO. That is even referred to as a S/4HANA limitation in the latter note:

Due to limitation in S/4HANA system you cannot have late lock setting being turned on while still allow LIS update

Basically S/4HANA has traded functionality for speed.

Hello @Pradeep93

First of all, you need to create 3 info structures actually - it is explained in the note 483735 - Self-defined info structures with reference S031, S032, S039 I would suggest not to copy from SAP standard info structures but to create your own from scratch.

Then you need to fill the structures with data as explained in the notes:

Finally you should use the D type info structure. Even though it won't contain any data, it will pull the data from the other info structures and calculate historical stocks on the fly.
