Multi Ship- to Order Process on SAP

Hello Members, 

Can anyone please let me know how Multi Ship-to Order world in real business and also explain the configurations required to make it work on SAP system? 

I tried the scenario and was able to save MSO but it is not exploding to create child order. System shows partner function error for Mark-to and Ship-to. 

Please help me with this scenario.
