Is there any base for this profit center check in production orders

While creating a production order without material a profit center check gets triggered and a warning message is showing.

But in ECC this error is not showing. Got some note 2723379, 2975320 but not getting the base for this check.

Any idea?

Hi 

For your information, Both notes which you are mentioned those clearly mentioned that components are S/4 Core. I dont think you can implement it in SAP ECC.

Also would like to confirm that given example belogns to S/4 or ECC

In S4 what makes the need for profit center in production order release? Any FI reasons?
