Is it possible to consider the stock from two storage locations MRP area for single requirement.

I have two storage location MRP areas. one for the Production storage location and the other for the Sales storage location.

For sales orders, I will pick stock only from the sales storage location.

But for production orders, I will pick stock from both sales and production storage locations. (Currently, If I give the requirements at the plant MRP area, it's getting passed to the Storage location MRP area based on the Production storage location)

Is there any way to do this on standard MRP?

If yes how are the requirements for the sales order and Production orders to be maintained and how is the MRP to be executed? At plant MRP area or at Sloc MRP area.

Hello @RaghavanKathamuthu  Appreciated your time in detailing notes.

There are two components to be answered in your questions,

Make to stock (Production order related MRP area location) and Make to order (Sales order related MRP area location). If you want get Planned order against PIR or against sales order, you have choose respective planning strategy and It does mean you have use the flow as per optimized method.

In your case PIR is created Plant level for 10 Qty and at Prd location MRP area level PIR created 101B, So that component got expanded to Prd location based MRP area (check location Maintained  at Production version and Material master).

If you want to have Planned order to be at MRP area level, you need have location mapped in Production version (PIR) and sales order(Location).

Why are you talking about make-to-order? MD04 screenshots don't MoT planning segments, do they?

Thanks for the answer Prasanth. But maintaining the sloc in Production version will just divert the requirements to respective MPR area rather than considering the stock from Both MRP area for production.
