Import Process (107+109) in EWM- How to receive and putaway in EWM?

System: S4H 1809 Embedded EWM (Basic Warehouse Functions)

What is the standard SAP business practice to receive goods from the port with movement type 109 (followed by 107)?

We do not have integration with GTS (Global Trade System).

Any inputs would be approciated.

Movement 107 is a goods receipt to valuated block stock. The valuated block stock is not managed on storage location level. Thus it's not linked to EWM and doesn't trigger putaway process.

Movement 109 is a transfer posting from valuated block stock to storage location stock. Therefore it can be linked to EWM if the receiving storage location is EWM managed. 109 is handled in EWM with putaway process just the same as regular 101 receipt is.
