Dear All,
Would appreciate a help on the issue below.
In a purchase order collaboration scenario. I find that if I "save/draft" a ASN (advanced shipping Notification) for purchase order created by customer and later "publish" it, the ASN gets created even without confirming the order at supplier end (It only gives a warning) . That is against business philosophy and should give an error. Can anyone suggest a way to correct this anomaly ?
Best regards

Hi Rahul,
SAP Standard setting for supplier confirmation is Optional so if you want user to Crete a confirmation before creating ASN you have choose it as a Mandatory for particular characteristic e.g. Product or Supplier etc.

Hi Rahul,
SNC does not stops the supplier from the creating and publishing the ASN for and Order for which there is no confirmation.
you can find the documentation in the SPRO setting about the same which says that it is advisable to create it but is not forbidden.(under Delivery->Confirmation control).
In the confirmation control SPRO setting, you can maintain the "supplier confirmation" as mandatory which will make sure that ASN's are only created for confirmed order items.
