IBP : Production Source Resource

Dear IBP experts,

I am trying to understand the attribute Capacity Consumption Rate on Production Source Resource. We have the extractor

/IBP/PRODUCTIONRESOURCE_ATTR to extract the data from S/4 HANA.

The details of the extractors are as follows:

As per the blogs, the data will be taken from the extension table /IBP/SOSRES_EXT(not 100% sure).

Can you please explain the logic behind how the capacity consumption rate is calculated when the data is loaded to IBP?

Hello Revanappa,

After this data is loaded into IBP, it will be used in the PCAPAUSAGE calculation, that is, the consumption of the available capacity based on the amount of production receipts. The calculations is as follows: PCAPAUSAGE = PRODUCTION * PCAPACONSUMPTION.

The provided link explains about the how the capacity demand is calculated using the capacity consumption rate and receipts.

The capacity consumption rate is attribute in the Production Source Resource Master data Type. I am trying to understand how the the capacity consumption rate is arrived using the extractor /IBP/PRODUCTIONRESOURCE_ATTR.

Hi Revan,

Currently fixed capacity consumption is not supported, but we calculate variable bucket consumption. To calculate the variable bucket consumption of the PDS from the routing for the work centers with the TIME dimension, use the sample BAdI /IBP/ECC_SAVE_PDS_BCONS_SAMPLE. Capacity Base Quantity defined in the Routing as Operation base quantity will be transferred to the Production Data Structure only if sample BAdI implementation /IBP/ECC_SAVE_PDS_BCONS_SAMPLE is implemented in BAdI /IBP/ECC_SAVE_PDS.
