Hi Experts, All,
IBP Format sheet - Can we do directly in IBP Production system or let me know Alternate options ?
As per user requirement, we have made 'Conditional Formatting' (If Key Figure Cell Value is NOT Equal to '0' (Zero) then display in Red color for the IBP Key Figure.
This color code Formatting is done in 'IBPFormattingSheet' for the Key Figure in 'IBP DEVELOPMENT System' and tested and working fine.
The Question is :
Do we need to do this IBPFormatting cell Color Code Formatting directly in Planning View Templates in IBP PRODUCTION system ?
Or is there any way/option to do in IBP Development system and do Transport or Export from Development system to Quality system and to Production system ?
Appreciate your help in this regards.
Thanks.
Parthi

No, you do not need to update the IBP Formatting sheet directly in Prod.
You can create & test in Test production, then once it has been confirmed, you can transfer the template in Prod by loading it in Test -> disconnect from Test Planning Area -> connect to Prod -> save template . This is the standard way.

hi Parthi4,
"What issues/problems we get if we do change/update the Formatting of Cells in IBP Formatting Sheet directly in IBP Production system ? "
-> technically, i don't see a risk, as the Formatting Sheets & Templates are just a way to display the information in Excel.
I think it depends on:
- how many users are already using the template that you want to change/update. If the template is going to be fully changed, it's best to communicate to any users first
- are there any jobs ran directly from the templates (eg statistical forecast runs)? If yes , then the updated template will probably need to follow the same applied filters as the "old" one.
But have you considered first to copy the old template , save it as Favorite in Prod -> change it/update -> test it?
A favorite template is not shared by default with anyone, so any changes you made in Prod will not affect anyone.
