IBP Application Job Template not showing in IBP Excel add-in

Hi experts

I created an Application Job Template (my first one) which basically consists of two steps. These 2 steps/operators run independently without a problem and they are showing in the Excel add-in. I wanted to chain the two operators:

First steps basically clear values from 2 KF

The second step disaggregates values for a KF

I cannot see the operator in IBP Excel add-in

I read this in SAP website but I'm not sure what it means

Application Job Templates in the IBP Excel Add-Inn

"You can also schedule and run application job templates from the IBP Excel add-in. To do so, you first have to define and prefill the templates in the Application Job Templates app."

Thanks in advance for your help

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

Yes, you need to remove version & then job template should be available in excel add-in.

Hello,

I solved this by below apporach:

first add below business catelog to your role.

then edit the restriction from the role, and from the administration: add HCI_SCHED

after you allow corresponding copy operator for application job templates. (you do not need maintain unrestricted, me just for test.)

you should able to see the job templates from EXCEL.

Hi Roberto,

I can see some of the custom application job templates reflecting in Excel UI. So I believe the global parameter "APJT" in scheduling parameter group is set to TRUE.

The issue could be with version mentioned in the template. While scheduling application job template from Excel UI, planners need to choose version by marking a checkbox. So though this field is shown as mandatory in application job template in web UI, you can save the template without mentioning any version. Also, remove any predefined filters if you've added in template. Once you remove version and filter from the template, it should reflect in Excel UI.

Excellent Piyush. Thanks for the explanation and solution. It was as you and Neeraj indicated.

The mandatory warning misled me. But I ignored and I was able to save it

I can see the option in Excel add-in
