How to set Default bin for the Material during receiving.

Good day!!

We have a requirement, Our customer wants to default the one storage bin for the material, if the material dont have any fixed bin assigned. We have implemented EWM with Fixed bin strategy concept.

To tackle the above situation, we have created one dummy storage type with 100 temporary bins. During Putaway, strategy is designed in a way that, if there is no fixed bin assigned, it will look for the bin in dummy storage type and assign accordingly.

Is there any better way to handle this smoothly. Please suggest.

You can create Put-away indicator and assign the desired storage types and bins to that put-away indicator maintain determination than assign put-away indicator in warehouse product master

The solution i am look for is. Generally, we assign Bins for the material master in /SCWM/BINMAT. But , in cases like, new material just created, for that there is no bin is assigned. We would like to receive this new material in Dummy Storage Bin (Say D01-01-01). Once we assigned new bin for the material, then system should give preference to the assigned storage bin(Say A01-01-01) rather D01-01-01. Anyway can we acheive this.
