I want to know if forecast horizon setting in product master works with CTM engine or not .

I have a requirement where i dont want to consider demand for different product in their lead time .When i tried defining this in Forecats horizon in product master and ran CTM , It didnt consider it .

Or is there any other way through which this can be achieved

Hi Shyam,

Have you thought about using the Order Selection profile?

Through order selection profile you can choose your products (Master Data selection) and choose the Relative time period under Time-Related Section in the same screen.

You can give certain no. of days for which the system will not consider the demand for the products given in the master data selection profile.

For example, today is 22/09/2008

You give Start in as 5 days

and duration 15 days.

The system chooses only those demands between 28/09/2008 (five days after the current date) and 12/10/2008 (15 days from the planning start date).

Check whether this statisfies your requirement.

Thanks,

you are correct... its not supported with ctm upto v5.0

I have not tried with v5.1 yet.

I don't know any creative workaround either.

Hi Shyam,

This is the only way of doing it in Std System and you can do customize development using BADI,FM , exits as per your requirement.

Within this horizon, Supply Network Planning (SNP) does not take the

forecast into account when calculating total demand. Outside of this

horizon, the system calculates total demand using either the forecast or

sales orders and both depending upon the requirement strategy.
