Hi,
I'm working curently on the integration S/4 <> EWM 1909 (decentralized scenario). I already established the ALE communication and transferred some customers via DEBMAS Idoc. What I noticed, after the customer has been created in EWM, in the tab identification the identification type is not filled any more (in this particular case CRM002). Did I forget something or is it a standard behavior?

Hello Bartosz,
the ID types as you may know from classic EWM (EWM 9.5,...) are not used/filled in EWM in S/4. The information about which "type" a business partner is is stored in the BP role.
So everything is fine and you did not forget anything. Did you just ask out of curiosity or do you require this for any purpose? E.g. for mapping BP to customer/supplier specific EWM APIs exist which do the mapping independent on ID types.
For your convenience I added the latest release information which also contains the latest how to guide for the integration to a decentralized EWM. Are you transferring the complete DEBMAS? This is e.g. not necessary (see how to guide) as a reduced message type is sufficiant.
Best regards
Markus

Hi Markus,
Refering to note 2417298, ALE in this case is not recommanded but rather SOAP. Could you please elaborate on potential restrictions using ALE (e.g. 1 BP for 1 customer and 1 vendor?) and/or when (under which conditions) SOAP apply?
Thanks in advance,
Anthony.
