Delivery Qty less than Pallet qty

Hi,

We need to confirm a pick WT for OBD where the OBD qty is less than the normal pallet (HU) qty in bins.

Even if the WT gets created with delivery qty (eg. 8 Cartons), the HU which is available in his WT has 10 Cartons in it. In further steps while confirming the Warehouse Order, system asks for a mandatory pick HU. I do not need pick HU here, as the process is to take complete palette to GI-ZONE and remove only 8 cartons from it and ship them to customer in the form of cartons only.

Please let us know any way by which this can be achieved.

Regards,

Amit G.

Hi,

I don't think that two-step picking is what you need - but yeah, what you want, that does not work like that in the standard.

You describe that you bring the complete pallet to the GI-Zone, where you then pick 8 cartons to send out. And what happens with the rest????

I suppose you return the rest either to the original storage type or some other storage type? Then a pick point is what you are looking for.

Or what else are you doing?

All the above is no official SAP statement.

Check for EWM courses: https://training.sap.com/trainingpath/Applications-Extended+Warehouse+Management-EWM+in+S4HANA

And it is EWM. NOT eWM - Duh!

And if your question includes the word "transfer order" - do NOT tag the question with Extended Warehouse Management!

Hi juergen.pitz ,

Thanks for the response, you understood that right. The remaining pallet goes back to the origin or other storage type.

I will check my scenario with pick point and come back if needed on this thread.
