Hello, everyone,
can you please help me with the following question?
In SAP Analytics there is the possibility to customize the Customer User Interface and thus to restrict the user. Is there a comparable function in SAP IBP?
My goal is to prohibit the end user from changing a planning view. He should only be allowed to use the filter function.
Thank you and Greetings
Christopher
Hi Christopher,
You should not give PV_TMPLT authorization under the Administration Functions restrictions of the user's business role.
In that way, the user won't be able to to an UPDATE.. or even a DELETE of the template maintained by the admin.
Of course, the end user will still be able to manipulate (edit) the template in real-time for his/her own use, and even save it with his changes as an user favorite.
Completely limit the edit-ability is not possible right now, that would have to come via some Enhancement Request on the IBP Influence Channel for future releases.
Best,
Ivan
