Hello,

I am seeking how I create a barcode with the action to [SAVE]

Something to do with prefix and suffix I suppose? But I do not know how or even if it's possible.

In the process to set the KANBAN container EMPTY/FULL

I create a barcode from 000000001[2] > Kanban ID 000000001 status 2 (EMPTY) > 0000000012

I create a barcode from 000000001[5] > Kanban ID 000000001 status 5 (FULL) > 0000000015

When scanning the specific barcode I still need the Button [SAVE] on the APP to Confirm the scanning and to execute the status by hand.

How do I create a barcode that includes the [SAVE] ?

Thank you in advance for your help 🙂

Hi Ray,

Did you get it solved?

Have you reviewed this Help article?

Set Kanban Container Status

"

Scanner Settings

In the user menu of the SAP Fiori launchpad you can select Scanner Settings, here you can define the following settings for the barcode scanner:
  • Prefix and suffix characters for detecting scanned barcodes.

The prefix and suffix characters must differ, both have a maximum length of one character. The following default values are provided:
    • Prefix Character is set as $

    • Suffix Character is set as %

The barcode scanner must be configured to match your settings and automatically add the defined prefix and suffix characters to each scan.

  • The button Enable Barcode Scanning with Device Camera controls the visibility of the scan button, which you use for barcode scanning with the device camera. By default this setting is switched off.
    • Choose ON to display the scan button, which appears to the right of the Enter Barcode field in the app

    • Choose OFF to hide the scan button

    Save you settings.

If you have followed these and it still doesn't work like you want, you may need to consider adding a Tab then Enter to the scanner output

If you could provide us some update, we may be able to assist further

Thank you

Jerry
