Hai,
BOM and Routing together from ECC when transferred through CIF becomes PPDS PPM in APO. This PPDS PPM is then converted to SNP PPM in /SAPAPO/PPM_CONV. Not all resources, operations and activities are copied to SNP PPM.
My question here is "What is the criterion for this conversion?" While conversion,t he system only considers the production activities and standard costs only. Is that correct? Also the resource with the lowest cost is considered I guess. Can somebody explain me what actually happens during the conversion and I appreciate any documentation pointers.
Thank you.

hi visu
SNP and PPDS ppm have different purposes and functionalities and structure. Hence it is not a one to one match
The bucket consumption of the SNP PPM is determined from the mode durations of the PP/DS PPM. Every SNP-relevant product and resource consumption from the PP/DS-PPM is determined for a lot size and regrouped into SNP operations and activities.
Activities and operations generated in the SNP-PPM are not necessarily equivalent to those of the PP/DS-PPM. This is because entire activities can not be considered in SNP - due to resource or activity not being SNP relevant, activities in SNP are generated without any resource or material consumption
Also activities of short duration are grouped together in one bucket (you have a day bucket in SNP)
Note 323884 and 481906 has some more details.
Am not sure of the conversion of the costs
