Since its first release in 2205 (May of 2022), SAP Warehouse Robotics has been available in the market for one full year. In the 2305 release, we mainly enhanced the integration with non-SAP fleet management systems, which allows SAP Warehouse Robotics to be able to integrate with various kinds of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). Together with the direct robot integration that was launched in previous releases, there are two integration scenarios that are supported by SAP Warehouse Robotics. See the following graphics about the system landscapes for these two integration types.
Set Up Fleet Management Systems and Robots
SAP Warehouse Robotics provides an app “Onboard Robots – Fleet Management” to define fleet management systems, map the warehouses in these systems to the warehouses in SAP Warehouse Robotics, and create robots.
Defining the Fleet Management Systems
Assigning a Fleet Management System to a warehouse
Define the robots in the Fleet Management System
Monitor Robots from Fleet Management Systems
In the Monitor Robots app, you can monitor warehouse orders and the corresponding robot tasks that are sent to a fleet management system. You can also cancel or close the robot tasks.
Monitor Warehouse Orders
You can view all exceptions that occur during the processing of robot tasks.
Monitor exceptions
You can see real-time warehouse data for robots, for example, their real-time positions on the warehouse layout, and the current warehouse order that they're processing.
Monitor robot status
Monitor robots with a map layout
In summary, with the 2305 release, you can now monitor warehouse order processing and the real-time robot location and status information with a warehouse layout for integrated fleet management systems.
