SAP® Extended Warehouse Management S/4HANA 1909 FSP1 Development Overview

Today I would like to share with you an overview of our latest Feature Pack released on February 12^th, 2020 for SAP Extended Warehouse Management S/4HANA 1909. You can find this new overview by accessing the following link to our “What’s New in SAP EWM S/4HANA 1909 FSP1” presentation.

I would like to bring to your attention the enhancements to decentral EWM on S/4HANA which improve master data communication, accelerate system integration and bring enhanced settings for data transfer (which enables important features for transfer of batches). We have an upcoming blog that goes into more details regarding the decentral EWM enhancements and how they relate to our Integration Guide, so stay tuned for that.

This release also focuses on enhancing the features from the September 2019 release of SAP EWM S/4HANA 1909. One of the important highlights of this release is the increased integration between Extended Warehouse Management and Manufacturing Execution through new contact points between the two systems. For example, SAP EWM sends a notification to SAP ME automatically when the staging warehouse task is confirmed.



Most notably in this “What’s New” however, is the introduction of the enhancements brought via our Customer Connect program that will be part of the standard releases from here on out (i.e. you won’t require a Note implementation to activate these enhancements).

Aside from the above-mentioned topics, this release covers a range of other enhancements as well, both large and small, so I encourage everyone to access the “What’s new in SAP Extended Warehouse Management S/4HANA 1909 FSP1” presentation to learn more.
