Monitoring the queues and alerting the users is one of the key activities and is also a time bound activity. If the queues are not addressed/resolved on time, it may lead to the operation failure and the data consistencies etc. If nobody notices, the error on time, then it may lead to problems down line.

In many projects, a person is dedicated for monitoring the queues.

There are multiple ways to monitor the queues in SAP EWM like manual or  using EWM Warehouse Monitor/CCMS/AIF or any other party tool if available.

This blog post explains the simple process alerting the users for the EWM queue failures by sending an email/SMS/alert inbox/ SAP business workplace. This document based on the How to document - SMQ2_Alerting.pdf.

The alert monitor is available only for SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO), SAP Forecasting and Replenishment and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
