Hello experts,

When registering a group of specific activities, for budget availability control, for example “Purchase Order”:

The following message is generated:

How can I restrict a group of activities in the budget availability profile?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Daniela,

The "++ All Activity Groups" option is required for any Activity Groups that are not explicitly defined (Needs to be added to your list!). If you explicitly define an Activity Group (e.g., "Purchase Order"), this will override the "++ All Activity Groups" for that specific Activity Group.

Furthermore, the feature to exclude or restrict specific Activity Groups isn't supported (as this question is raised sometimes). You can only apply restrictions by using different nodes in the G/L Account Hierarchy.

To effectively ignore a particular Activity Group, you could set a Warning with a 999% usage. However, this will not fully cover the feature of "exclusion".

Best Regards,

Marcel
