Hello All,
Currently I am involved in configuring SuS in our SRM system using XI.
We did import SuS related objects in XI Integration builder and SAP provided to us with certain data types, message types and message interfaces.
But, I don't see any objects in message mapping and interface mapping. Do I need to create them or was it suppose to come with SRM server import?.
I tried creating message mapping and received following massage "You are not permitted to create new objects since the software component cannot be changed".
Any help on how should I proceed?.
My system details are:
R/3 - 4.6C
SRM - SRM Server 5.0
XI - 3.0
Thanks for your time.

Hi Arulraj,
The packages coming with SRM for SUS and CCM, contains complete scenarios for integration messages. You don't need to define any additional mapping for these.
You only have to implement the scenario in XI, specifying the systems, and the connections (use wizard to implement these scenarios).
Regards.

Thanks Vadim for your reply.
Just to confirm what you said, it looks like we don't need to do any development in XI Integration builder. Every object (content) is pre-delivered by SAP. Only development is on the Config Directory in XI (creating adpators). Can you please confirm this?.
If it is true, there is something went wrong with our SRM content install in SRM.
Thanks,
Arul.
Hi Vadim,
Thanks for your response.
My situation is as follows:
We have live EBP classic scenario (SRM server 5.0) and XI (3.0) in our production box. Then we decided to go with SuS. So, Basis had installed necessary contents in SRM and XI related to SuS. Our back end is R/3 4.6C.
After the Basis installation, I proceeded with necessary configurations in R/3, SuS and XI(Config directory - communication channel creation etc). I didn't do any configurations in XI integration directory.
After completion of all configuration, I created a PO in R/3 and IDoc status shows its been successfully delivered. But, XI didn't receive it. When I started checking XI settings in Integration Builder, I found no objects under SAP SRM SERVER->SAP SRM SERVER 5.0->http://sap.com/xi/SRM/Procurement/Global->Mapping Objects.
I believe that Interface mapping and Message Mapping should have respective mappings created to enable XI to work properly. When I tried to create these manually, I get message 'You are not permitted to create new objects'.
What should I need to do to get these two mappings in XI?. Is there anything that I am missing?. Sorry about this long mail.
Appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Arul.
