Position Deleted for an User, created a new userid; Confirmation Issues

We created a new userid to replace the old userid for a user. Meanwhile we also deleted the position for the old userid. For POs that are associated with Old BP id, we are unable to do confirmations. Is there any way we can restore the relationship between the old userid and position id so that the confirmations go thru.

This note includes a report to repair incorrect EBP users.However, this only works if the organizational unit, to which the user is assigned, is correct.First check this in Transaction CRM_OM_BP_INTEGRATE.If the corresponding organizational unit is correct, three green displays must be shown in Transaction CRM_OM_BP_INTEGRATE for this organizational unit.
