Org.Unit updated regularly from HR ? :-(

Hi guys,

Just to be sure:

1. I can create a new org. unit (initially) from HR module right ?

2. If yes, Is it possible to maintain just 1 structure ? Ex: if a new department is created in HR, the change should be replicated to SRM automatically.

Is it possible ?

Thank you !!! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Diego

Hi Diego,

For the change to be replicated from HR to SRM, change pointers need to be activated and the relevant replication jobs run.

To activate change pointers in R/3 - BD61

Then schedule the appropriate jobs in R/3 & SRM.

Hi Paula, what are the jobs that need to run?

Hi Tracey,

Actually the jobs would only need to be set up if you have configured the ALE settings to be "Collect IDOCS" (R/3) and "Triggered by background job" (SRM).

If this is the case, you would need to run program RSEOUT00 for message type hrmd_aba in R/3, and RBDAPP01 in SRM.

Otherwise, the idocs should be sent and processed immediately.

Paula.

Hi Paula,

So, If I understand well:

1. Its possible to mantain just one org.structure (in HR) and replicate that structure to SRM

2. I guess that this action just replicate the structure but not their attributes right ? So, I would need to update the attributes in SRM Org Unit. Am I right ?

By the way, Im using SRM 4.0, do you know if you solution applies to this version ?

Thank you !!!

Best regards,

Diego

Hi Diego,

1. Yes you can maintain just one structure in HR and replicate to SRM.

2. yes it applies to SRM 4.

Regards,

Paula.

Sorry, forgot about the attributes question.

You will have to manually maintain attributes but only for new org units & positions.
