JOB "SWWCLEAR"

Hi,

We are upgrading from SRM5.0 to SRM7.0.

I have a question about JOB "SWWCLEAR".

In our sysytem, JOB "SWWCLEAR" is executed and canceled eveyday.

The reason(JOB log) is "Variant &0000000000000 does not exist".

We don't scheduled this JOB, so this JOB is executed automatically.

This JOB is created by Work Flow user.

Similarly, following JOB is executed automatically and canceled.

-SWFSLSDLEX

-SWWCOND

-SWWDHEX

-SWWERRE

I don't know effect of these JOBs.

Althought these JOBs are canceled, it seems that approval WF work correctly.

What is the effect of these JOBs?

How can I avoid the JOB error?

These jobs are scheduled automatically when you customize the workflow in SRM system.

In the tcode SWU3, expand the node "Maintain Runtime Environment".

You can schedule some of the jobs you mentioned under the above node.

SWWCOND	Work item rule monitoring
SWWDHEX	Work item deadline monitoring
SWWERRE	Work item error monitoring
SWWCLEAR	Clearing tasks in the workflow system

Make sure "Maintain Runtime Environment" is all green ticks and the jobs for workflow to run correctly. This is a must.

Can I ask you more?

I maintained Runtime Environment by SWU3 and all ticks is green.

But the JOB "SWWCLEAR" canceled with Msg."Variant &0000000000000 does not exist".

How can I resolve this?

And if I remain this JOB canceled, are there any problem about WF?

Hi Ryo,

Please check below thread and http://scn.sap.com/thread/1729859 and perform step recommended by Mark.

Also, DO you have RFC connection maintained properly? If you see the help of setting up job it mentioned as below, Please refer the last part highlighted in bold.

Schedule background job for clearing report

This background job for clearing work in the workflow system deletes all job logs of the following background job:

SWWCOND	Work item rule monitoring
SWWDHEX	Work item deadline monitoring
SWWERRE	Work item error monitoring
SWWCLEAR	Clearing tasks in the workflow system

After scheduling, the background is executed once a day at 00:00 hours.

To be able to successfully execute this activity, the activity Configure RFC destination must have been successfully executed.

Thank you for your reply.

I have read the thread, but I think our problem is not about authorization.

Our problem is these JOBs run wrong at client.

For example, In uur DEV system, we did test at client 520.

But the JOB "SWWCLEAR" is run at client 510.

Now 510 is not exist...

How can I set the JOB configuration?

Hi,

In our system, these JOBs run wrong client, so theses JOBs canceled with error.

We set these JOB again by TC: SWWCLEAR_INSERT and it finished properly.
