Item Approval with 're-start'

Hi

Is is possible to stop cart items being changed if it has previously been approved?

After an approval restart, approved item tasks seem to be logically deleted in the workflow log and new tasks created for only those items that are not yet approved ...... does this sound correct?

Many Thanks

Thanks Daniel for the response

... just a couple of points for clairfication if you can help.

We have the situation whereby if an item is approved (single approval level) and the cart still contains items in the approval process, the requestor can change the approved item (e.g increase quantity) without the restart occuring .... the quantity increases in the cart, but no new work item is created - even though the logic in BADI BBP_WFL_APPROV_BADI creates an approval object for a potential new approver!! I think this is due to the ACTUALDYNAMICAPPROVERSGET method not selecting an historic approval object (lower approval index in history than current approval index)?

As the result of the restart, the audit trail (within the workflow log) for the approver agent is lost, as the previous work item is logically deleted. Is this how this was envisaged to work. We can still find the item approver through the Web Front end approval applet though .....

Many thanks for your input.

Hello D,

Is is possible to stop cart items being changed if it has previously been approved?

-> generally No

e.g. Approver say yes, but as second approver I can change, then it should go back to requestor.

After an approval restart, approved item tasks seem to be logically deleted in the workflow log and new tasks created for only those items that are not yet approved ...... does this sound correct?

-> workitem should be logically deleted when a restart happens. this is correct.

After the restart already approved items do not need an approval process again, therefore these items does not get new workitems.

Daniel
