Hello,

I require assistance regarding the Integration of CIM with S/4 Hana Cloud.

I followed the 4N6 setup guide, but I encountered some issues and need further explanations.

Firstly, regarding data replication with SAP Integration Suite, the managed gateway is a service that requires a license. I don't have a license for inbound processing, and I want to replicate data (company code, tax, and GL account). How can I proceed without the required license?

Secondly, I would like to understand how MDI sends data to CIM. I have created an MDCS instance for master data consumption in MDI and a destination MDCS in CIM. However, when attempting to replicate data with the managed distribution model, I encounter communication problems. Do I need to activate the Master Data Consumption service, or is there another step I should follow?

Thirdly, I am facing issues with the activation of the push distribution model for cost centers. The system continues to display an error related to replicating data with the pull model first. How can I resolve this and activate the push distribution model successfully?

Lastly, I terminated an old connected system and attempted to connect a new one. However, I encountered the following issue: "The connected system could not be registered because a tenant is already registered on the system." How can I resolve this registration issue and connect the new system successfully?

Hi

I have set up the SAP CIM in DEV - and it was very involved.  We are in a process evaluation stage and to be honest we don't think much of it but we are able to post invoices and credit notes into S4HC - it just has some peculiarities and bugs. 

when I set up our SAP CIM - at task 8 of 46 for the "SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway" this send me an email with the activation details (for https://aribaoperations.accounts.ondemand.com....).

Perhaps this has not been done yet ?.

I would also like to fully understand how the master data is replicated too - I don't think anybody does.  But here goes.

Master data has to be replicated from the connected systems to SAP CIM on SAP BTP. The following master data entities have to be replicated:

Group 1 – From S4HC thru “Ariba”

1. Company Code
2. G/L Account
3. Tax Code

Group 2 – From S4HC thru MDI

1. Business Partner (Supplier)
2. Project Controlling Object (WBS Element)
3. Cost Center

The master data entities in group 1 will be replicated from SAP S/4HANA Cloud through SAP Integration Suite, managed gateway (Ariba) to SAP Central Invoice Management on SAP BTP.

The master data entities in group 2 will be replicated from SAP S/4HANA Cloud through Master Data Integration service on SAP BTP to SAP Central Invoice Management on SAP BTP.   From your BTP MDI application you will need to one push model and one pull model need to be created for each - ensure they have the recommended version number e.g. sap.odm.finance.costobject.CostCenter Version 3.1.0

For detailed approach and analysis of your system I assume you have already contacted SAP on this.  Raising an incident with Schedule an Expert option might be worthwhile too.

Hello, Thank you for the response. Actually, I have some questions regarding data replication for the first group: company code, GL account, and tax code from SAP S/4HANA Cloud to CIM. I've created a communication arrangement as indicated in the guide, and I've executed a data replication job on S/4HC, but I can't seem to find the data even after scheduling the data import job on CIM. Could you please confirm the following: Do I not need to activate a SAP Integration Gateway service, just the PUser I received by email is enough? Does data replication take time to appear?

Hi Team we are also Facing the Same issue not able to "Manage Connected System" in CIM as not able to connect the Backend S/4 Cloud System. Can you Share your experiance
