Former Member

Hi All,

We are working on SRM 4.0 with the integrated ITS.When I click on the 'Add Shopping cart ' button, the system does not display the next page instead enters into an infinite processing loop. What could be the reason for this????

Thanks & regards,

Disha.

Disha,

Badis I'm talking about are:

BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI

BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI

Also, you can try to see where you process is looping in SM21: target your process and choose debug.

Hi,

I don't get it: is your process looping, or is it in error ?

hi Vadim,

Yes the process is looping(The progress bar increses slowly and finally timeout happens!)...When I go in SM21...For my user ID..I am getting the following System log..

15:18:54 DIA 001 200 BBPS R63 Work process is being terminated

15:18:54 DIA 001 200 BBPS Q02 Stop Workproc 1, PID 2646208

15:18:54 DIA 001 200 BBPS R47 Delete session 001 after error 023

15:18:54 DIA 001 200 BBPS R5C Terminal type 202: Incorrect output destination/message type TERM

15:18:54 DIA 001 200 BBPS R68 Perform rollback ...

Ok,

Then trey the following to see where your process is looping:

-reproduce the SC creation

-when you see the process is looping, goto SM21, select the process and choose debug.

You'll be redirected in the ABAP code where the process is looping and you'll be abble to debug to see what happens.

hi,

I am not able to analyse much.....the documentation for the system messages say the following :

1-->

Documentation for system log message Q0 1 :

The specified process (for example, a work process) has been started.

You can also see how often this process has been started since the

system was started.

2-->

The user is deleted after an internal error. The specified error

number has the following meaning:

002: Initialization error 003: Receive error

004: Send error 005: Internal error

006: Storage error 007: Rollin error

008: Rollout error 009: Commit error

010: Semaphore error 011: Signal received

012: Error after restart 013: Error during connect to DB

014: Error during roll init. 015: Error during page init.

016: Error in OS-spec.init. 017: Error in SAP init.

018: Error during rollback 019: SAP-DEXT call

020: Deleted by administrator 021: Terminal output overflow

022: APPC output overflow 023: Work process has been restarted

Contact SAP Support.

3-->

Documentation for system log message R5 C :

An attempt was made to send data to an incorrect destination.

Please contact the SAP hotline.

4-->

An error has causes an SAP rollback. All database updates are reset.

Mayb...I think putting up an OSS message wil help further...Will keep u posted.....

Thanks a millions...

Hi vadim,

I think since we are implementing the Classic scenario and still activated the IPC....and above that we have also activated simplified pricing at the same time..may be because of that the transaction ( BBPSC02 ) is looping......

Do u think deactivating the IPC settings would work???I mean is it proper if we switch from Simplified Pricing to IPC pricing????

Hi,

Yes, try to activate IPC pricing instead of simplified pricing.

Hi Vadim,

Actually i wanted to know whether we could go with Simplified pricing since we are in Classic scenario??

Can both the pricing methods be active for Classic scenario????

Hi Vadim,

For classic scenario,Isnt IPC not mandatory?I mean is it not better if we dont go for IPC Pricing in case of Classic Scenario?

Hi Disha,

SRM Master guide says:

Service Classic Extended and Self-Service Lean Pocurement.

Optional component for Self- Service Procurement / Classic Deployment. Nevertheless, if you operate Self-Service Procurement / Classic Deployment without SAP IPC, the following restrictions apply:

-The products are normally selected from a catalog. In addition, you are still able to select products from the product master or userdefined text items.

-The product price must remain in the /1CN/CBPSAP118 master record table.

-Contracts and in particular discounts are not taken into account.

-You cannot use interlinkages and scales.

-Currency changes can only happen on the item level,

and not on the document

level.

Hope it helps.

Vadim

Hi Vadim,

The reason why the transaction BBPSC01 was looping is that the length of the component type field ACC_OBJ_VALUE in the structure BBP_ACC_DESCRIPTION (Backend) was 12 char while the same in the SRM system was of length 24.By changing the field length and activating the structure, the prob was solved!Corresponding OSS note is 857326.

Thanks for all the help.
