can contractors/temp employees create SRM Shopping carts

Hello SRM Experts,

I have  a requirement in SRM wherein contractors should be able to create shopping Carts. we are on SRM one client . Contractors are not part of the HR org structure. Can contractors create carts without being in the org structure? what is the best practice for this requirement?

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

In order to allow user to create a shopping cart, this needs to be inserted within organization unit.

If user is not inserted, cart cannot be created.

You could use the "shop on behalf" functionality and create carts on behalf of permanent users, but the temporary users would need to be inserted in organization.
