Introduction


This is the Third blog post in the series and in this blog post we will see the technical configuration set up in Ariba.

Configuration in SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway


1. Set Up the Basic Data

Log on to Ariba Network buyer account. Choose Administration Configuration, on the Configuration screen choose Cloud Integration Gateway Setup. On the Configure Cloud Integration Gateway screen, select the Log in to SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway link. The Cloud Integration Gateway screen is displayed.

Add the information as below.


The Best practice to maintain the Time zone in Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway is to keep it similar as maintained in the S/4 HANA Cloud

System Id is SAP S/4HANA Cloud Own System field.

2. Create and Deploy a Project

2.a Create a New Integration Project.

In the Project Name field, enter a name for the project, for example, S4CIG.In the Product field, select Ariba Network from the dropdown list. Choose Next.


 

2.b Set up the Connections

To add a new connection, go to the Connection Details section and choose Add new Connection. Please Provide Connection Details in this section, enter the following data according to your business requirements.


In the Connect to Backend section, enter the following data according to your business requirements. Select Authentication type as Basic and provide user and password as maintained in S/4 system for CIG.


In the Connect Trading Partner to CIG section, enter the following data according to your business requirements. Select Authentication Type as Basic and enter the P-user as maintained in the Ariba system.

A sample connection should be looking like this


 

Choose Save. The new connection  created for project is now displayed in the Connection Details section. This connection can be reused in other projects as well. To do so, go to the Reusable Connections section, select a connection, and choose Assign to Project

Choose Next. Validate the connection details that are specified to ensure that the documents flow between SAP S/4HANA Cloud system, SAP Ariba Cloud Integration Gateway, and  Ariba Network system is successful.

Go to the Cross References step to ensure that the QuoteMessageOrder document type is available.


3. Review the Project Settings

Review the information on the Connection Details tab. To make changes, choose Edit. After changes are made, choose Save and Close. The Connection Details tab is displayed. Choose Confirm.

4. Test a Project

It is recommended to test transactions manually. After the transactions have been run successfully, then Go Live button is displayed

5. Deploy a Project

Go to the My Projects section. In the Action column of the project , choose Select Edit .Go to the Test step the Project Self-Test Results screen is displayed. Choose Skip Buyer Test. The Go Live button is displayed. In the Mark Project Active On section, specify the time and date to schedule the deployment to production.

Choose Go Live. The project is deployed.


6. Ariba Buyer Network End Point setup

Login to Ariba Buyer network , Configuration -> Administration -> Business Application IDs and End Points .

S/4 system ID should be default ID


7. Check the connectivity by using Connectivity tool
