Recently I wrote about the
design transformation that SAP Fieldglass solutions have been undergoing since 2018. As a part of this transformation, today I want to show you how ‘graphical views’ are now used in SAP Fieldglass solutions. What are graphical views? They reduce the amount of text and data on a screen and display the most important, closely-related items together.
For example, a new graphical view has improved the UI for reviewing candidates. Rather than overwhelming users with a flood of information, details about a candidate are now accessed by selecting a tile – Cost Analysis, Resume Review and Qualifications/Skills.
With graphical views, the use of color can also play a big role. A good example of this is the new UI for onboarding activities. In the past, onboarding activities for external workers were presented in a basic list format. Now onboarding activities are color coded.
These are a just a couple examples of how graphical views have improved the usability of SAP Fieldglass solutions. Our design team is hard at work, so expect more UI improvements with each release.
