The Digital Supplier Network (DSN) has undergone some changes and has been rebranded as the Commerce Automation Foundation Option. With these changes, SAP has introduced a new set of support services for its partners to ensure successful integration and onboarding with the SAP Business Network.
The Key Changes in the Commerce Automation Foundation Option:
Connection Services: Starting from Sep 23rd 2022, SAP will provide support for Connection Services to its partners, which includes the following and will be delivered through 60 hours of Buyer Integrator (from Implementation Services) to support Network Integration work:
Troubleshooting transactions related to PO collaboration
30-minute kick-off call
SAP Business Network configuration in tests
Provisioning standard materials and guidelines
5 UI customizations for PO and Invoice layouts only
13 weeks of support
2 weeks of hypercare.
Supplier Onboarding Services: SAP will also provide support for Supplier Onboarding Services, which includes 48 hours of Network Deployment Lead (from Program Management Services) for data analysis and Supplier Enablement leading practices.
Why the Name Change?
The new name better captures the breadth and depth of the platform's capabilities, which now extend beyond just supplier network functionalities. The Commerce Automation Foundation Option offers a complete solution for automating business processes between trading partners.
What Does This Mean for SAP's Partners?
With the changes to the deployment description of the Commerce Automation Foundation Option, SAP is providing its partners with a comprehensive set of support services aimed at ensuring successful integration and onboarding with the SAP Business Network.
The Connection Services, delivered through 60 hours of Buyer Integrator (from Implementation Services), will provide partners with support for PO collaboration, UI customizations, and other key tasks related to network integration.
The Supplier Onboarding Services, delivered through 48 hours of Network Deployment Lead (from Program Management Services), will provide partners with data analysis and best practices for supplier enablement.

What Is Not Included:
It's important to note that the following services are not included in the support provided by SAP for the Commerce Automation Foundation Option:
Supplier contact data cleansing and enrichment
Supplier outreach
Change management
Customized supplier training material
Supplier Integration and Catalog onboarding
Support the customer with deployment-related questions.
SAP's partners should be aware of these exclusions and plan accordingly for these services to be handled internally.
