Hi there, Martin Beganyi here, and welcome to my latest blog!

Today I’d like to blog about the recent campaign I ran focused on SAP Ariba Guided Sourcing eAuctions however, I felt it necessary to post a blog to help answer some of the questions I was asked during my sessions.

eAuctions can identify an additional 8-15% of incremental savings compared to traditional RFPs, furthermore, a 40% reduction in cycle-time can also be achieved compared to the traditional face to face negotiation. Please do take into account this is largely based on the competitiveness of the category i.e. the more suppliers you have bidding, generally the more savings you should achieve, not to forget category and regional nuances will also impact the above results.

Most of the customers I met with had not experienced running eAuctions yet however, I’m certain many will now do so!!  eAuctions are suitable for all buying organizations and can accommodate goods and services for short- and long-term contracts, I’ve even eAuctioned commodities that fluctuate daily.

There are many different types of eAuctions, ranging from the Reverse Auction to the Forward Auction, including an interesting spectrum in-between, essentially what I’m saying is that our solution can cater for most requirements and event types.
