In Q4 2019, the Ariba Network team released features to help suppliers manage duplicate Ariba Network IDs (ANIDs). Details can of the release can be found here.
Recently, the ability to search for companies on the Ariba Network login screen has been removed.
The impact for Ariba Network users is that internet visitors (or bots) that have not logged into the Ariba Network can no longer search for any of the Ariba Network trading partners directly from the login page. However, any valid supplier or buyer user who logs into Ariba Network can continue to use the available search functionality.
Buyers users can continue to search for suppliers
Existing Ariba Network buyer users can search for suppliers by logging in to their buyer account and using the Search for Suppliers action available on the Supplier Enablement > Manage Vendors page as depicted below:
Supplier users can continue to search for other company supplier accounts
Existing Ariba Network supplier users can search for other potential accounts for their company for the purpose of account linkage by logging in to their supplier account and going to:
Account Hierarchy > Link accounts > Request link with other accounts/Link Additional Accounts > Search Account to access the search page as depicted below:
Supplier employees who register can continue to identify matching supplier accounts
Supplier employees going through registration are presented with potentially matching account as part of the duplicate check and can continue to use the “Contact admin” feature. See help.sap.com article NS-5820: Ariba Network duplicate account check.
What such employee can no longer do is search for other company accounts before the Ariba Network terms of use have been accepted and the registration process is completed.
