On this episode of 'On the way to...', I wonder what future generations will be thinking of the double ampersands in the conference title?  In reality, this installment is brought to you by the fine people of the Philadelphia International Airport Terminal B/C concourse food court.  Nothing exotic, just Wendy's nuggets and NO coffee!!   And of course, posted late because I'm not very good at remembering things sometimes!

With the pivot to dCode, the slight pivot back to add the TechEd back and a whole lot of HANA & 'Simple' messaging, I wonder what this year's TechEd will bring us.  My agenda is full of Analytics, but trying to weed out the HANA seemed to be more of a challenge than in previous years.  I see SAP's vision and where it's heading, but trying to manage that content alongside what I need to support my day job does get a bit tiresome.

That being said, here are 5 sessions that I've highlighted on my agenda.  These are the ones I'm going to try my best at to get to over other meetings & events.  If you get a chance to attend, leave a comment and let me know what you think!!

EA113: Interactive and User Friendly SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence Reports

Tuesday 10/21/14 at 12:15pm

OK- who doesn't love them some WebI goodness.  Especially when it's an ASUG session!

EA115: Agile Analytics- Bringing Calm Out of BI and Analytics Chaos

Tuesday 10/21/14 at 3:15pm

The title alone is catchy enough to grab my attention.  Hopefully the session manages to keep it.

EA270: Upgrade SAP BusinessObjects XI 3.1 to SAP BusinessObjects BI 4.1

Thursday 10/23/14 at 4:30pm (hands-on session)

Given the complexity, questions and issues seen with BI4 upgrades and all of my upgrades not 100% complete, this one seems quite timely.

EA104: Wrangling Messy Data- A True Story

Thursday 10/23 at 4:30pm

Who doesn't have data all over the place that folks want to report on?  Bonus is that if you're an SCN user reading this blog, then you probably know about the data Jason Cao is going to talk about.

EA124: Duke Men's Basketball on SAP HANA

Wednesday 10/22 at 9:00am

Yes, yes- I know I talked about 'weeding out' the HANA from my agenda. But if you follow me on Twitter (@golasalle), you see my public love affair with with my alma mater and NCAA basketball- including a Roadtrip (accompanied by my then 13 year old daughter) (link: March Madness Road Trip Diary | Rambling, rantings and musings… ) from Pennsylvania to Ohio to Missouri and finally a Sweet Sixteen stop.  As a pep band playing, season ticket holding La Salle Explorer- the basketball is totally calling my name for this one.

That's my five- even if you don't make it to Vegas, check out the TechEd website for sessions that SAP will be streaming live, as well as ASUG News for live interviews and updates.

PS: Final word- GO EXPLORERS!!
