regarding hana certification

Hi Friends,

I just want few information about me taking up Hana certification. I am trainee in a company learning abap and hana. I am planning to do certification but have some doubts. What is the difference between SAP CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST - ABAP FOR HANA 2.0 and SAP CERTIFIED DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE - ABAP FOR HANA 2.0. And i got that specialist level is bit higher level, but do i need to complete associate level to get specialist certificate or I can go ahead with the preparation for specialist level. If there is any pre- requisite for specialist level, what is the best to do. Kindly share what you all know

Hi Kamali,

There is only a single ABAP for SAP HANA certification.

• SAP Certified Development Specialist - ABAP for SAP HANA 2.0 [E_HANAAW_17]

As mentioned on the exam page: It is highly recommended that you have passed one of these certification exams for the "SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver" (C_TAW12_70, C_TAW12_71, C_TAW12_731, C_TAW12_74, C_TAW12_750).

In other words, those certified for ABAP development with SAP NetWeaver (couple of weeks of training) can take the specialisation ABAP for HANA (HA400, 4 days)

However, the x_xAW_xx certifications are probably approaching end of life. You might want to look into the SAP Certified Development Associate - Programming in SAP S/4HANA / SAP NetWeaver ABAP certification. The latest edition is C_S4HDEV1909. Training courses include

• S4DEV - Introduction to Application Programming on SAP S/4HANA (3 days)
• S4D425 - Extensibility for SAP S/4HANA (3 days)
• S4D430 - Building Views in ABAP Core Data Services (3 days)
• S4D435 - Transactional Apps with CDS-based BOPF Objects (3 days)
• S4D440 - Custom Code Migration from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA
• CLD400 - Developing with SAP BTP ABAP Environment (4 days)
• HA400 - ABAP Programming for SAP HANA (4 days)

Thank you very much for the quick reply. Can I proceed with C_TAW12_750 - SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.5

and then go for hana. That would be a good approach ri8. And if possible kindly share the resources you have that might be useful for me to crack these certification exams in my inbox. Thank you in advance.

Now C_S4HDEV1909 is not available which had RAP topics covered ?

Would SAP be coming up with a newer version anytime soon ?

C_ABAPD_2309 is the latest Certification for ABAP.
