Learning SAP SD/MM

Hi,

I am self- learning SAP SD and SAP MM modules. I'd like to install SAP to my Laptop (Windows 10) to practice. What SAP software should I install and how to install it? Thanks!

The tags that you used (SD & MM) are related to issues specific to that module. This discussion is purely about your self learning and career growth and hence, tags changed appropriately

In a few words - you can only install the client part on Windows (this is SAPGUI).

For downloading SAPGUI you need access to the support portal with a S-user ID that has download authorization. You probably have no such access, otherwise you would not be asking this question.

For the server part - the modern versions do not run on Windows, and even the older versions were designed to work on server OS - e.g. Windows Server 2003. The modern versions also require hardware which you do not have on your laptop. Again, to download the software you need access to the support portal with S-user and download authorizations. And, of course, you need the knowledge how to install and configure the database and the server.

Instead of installing and configuring the server - consider getting your instance from SAP CAL:

As an alternative - if you use LearningHub, you can get LiveAccess.

By the way, the usage of SAPGUI is not mandatory for what you intend to do, if the system is configured correctly, you can use a web browser.
