Net Impact  association together with SAP University Alliances and CSR organized a very nice event on Design Thinking in Paris : Impactathon.

The event took place in a beautiful historical place that is the Archipel.

Thanks to CSR and University Alliances teams, we had the opportunity to welcome 39 students coming from 15 different schools including many UA members:  IESEG, ESSEC Business School, Toulouse Business School, ESCE, le Havre University, ESIEE, INSEAD and Institut Leonard de Vinci.

The students worked all day on the challenge:

How might we design new ways to help young people in Europe develop the skills they need for success in the workforce?

The challenge was very well documented by Net impact team: they supply all participants with data about youth unemployment landscape, 2 typical profiles of young people facing challenges in developing the skills they need for success in the workforce.

The students could learn and practice all different steps of design thinking methodology thanks to detailed documentation and presentation made by net Impact team.

During all day, the students were coached by SAP and Net Impact coaches belonging to design thinking and University Alliances team.

Over the course of the day, the 12 teams worked through a human-centered design process to come up with new solutions to this challenge and present them to the panel of judges.

The jury included SAP EMEA CSR Manager, 2 members of French Parliament, French Director of Net Impact.

The students enjoyed their participation to this challenge very much and felt very concerned with the situation described.

The different solutions proposed by the different teams were based on very innovative and original applications.

Great thanks to all participants, to Net Impact and Aurore for the splendid organization and to the jury.

Congratulations to the wining team “Orange” and hope to see you soon for a next challenge.
