02. October 2014: 45 Students from DHBW Lörrach and 2 of their tutors from Endress+Hauser, a global leader in measurement instrumentation, services and solutions for industrial process engineering, visited SAP SE in Walldorf, Germany to learn more about SAP and our technologies.

The visit started with an insightful presentation from Thomas Braun, SAP Education Sales Executive, about the SAP Learning Hub, a cloud based solution that provides instant online access to the vast knowledge base from SAP Education with no need to schedule or travel to training.

The new student edition of SAP Learning Hub offers a comprehensive library of electronic content that universities can provide to students for self-study covering close to 150 SAP solutions.

The offering aims to help students prepare for future employment on their chosen career path or prepare for SAP certification exams.

The next presentation, held by Raimund Gross, Solution Architect and Futurist at SAP, was about Google Glass and its impact on business. The vivid and interactive demonstration of this new device and the way it could change and transform business had captured the interest of the students. The possibility to wear the glasses and discover their functions, advantages and the new challenges was welcomed by the students and they took the opportunity to gather valuable hands-on experience.

The last program point was the visit of the SAP Inspiration Pavilion where the students were given a guided tour about the history of SAP and the topic "Experience Big Data". The SAP Inspiration Pavilion is all about Big Data and takes visitors on a journey into the world of Big Data where they can discover its origins, and see how they actively influence and contribute to the volumes of data available today.
