A total of 66 teams started at the 7th NEW MOBILITY RALLYE on 12 May 2023 in Walldorf on the SAP Campus. The focus of the ride was on vehicles with alternative drives - i.e. pure electric cars, hybrid models and fuel cell cars. Once again, they were to prove how future-proof and efficient their technologies are in action. SAP hosted the rally for the second time and was able to inspire the 170 participants the day before with an exclusive tour at the Experience Center and the Industry 4.0 Factory to showcase the latest innovations on how SAP is supporting companies to transition to CO2 neutral electromobility.
Start of the 7th New Mobility Rallye
Not only sensitive driving, but also skill and precision are required when touring with alternative drives.
A total distance of 165 kilometres over roads in Northern Baden with numerous uphill and downhill stretches awaited the rally participants. This posed special challenges not only for the former Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard (Porsche), the two-time women's rally world champion Isolde Holderied (Toyota) and the ten participating SAP teams with customers, partners and employees.
We captured the excitement before the start of the rally in the following two short video interviews with SAP´s Sven Denecken and Hagen Heubach.
