Do you want to network with other developers while exploring new and exciting things?
Under this motto the first SAP Developer CodeJam event started last Friday in Lingen.
We invited Ingo Bräuninger from SAP to introduce us to the latest technologies such as ABAP in Eclipse and HANA. Ingo Bräuninger is Product Expert in the Team Products & Innovation PI Core Platform ABAP Server and also works in the Developer Team Custom Code Migration to S / 4HANA.
He is also on community events and CodeJams worldwide. At this event, participants were shown how to develop ABAP programs using Eclipse. Other topics of the day included debugging with ABAP in Eclipse, using Core Data Services, troubleshooting a Fiori app with ABAP profiling and troubleshooting a Fiori app using Dynamic Logpoints.
Furthermore, the participants were introduced to the development of the ABAP Platform in recent years. Using practical examples, Eclipse's efficiency in programming in ABAP and how Eclipse integrates with the development environment architecture were also highlighted. In the form of plug-ins, SAP always supports the last two versions of Eclipse, said Ingo Bräuniger when a participant asked him about the current Eclipse version. He was also the contact person for the participants throughout the day and answered the questions he had asked in the complete spectrum of SAP development. Below you will find the complete opening session with Ingo Bräuninger. Take your time and have a look.
