First of all, thanks for the new option to get notifications for new activities in followed content. This comes in quite handy if new comments get posted which are not responses to ones own content and which might have been overlooked thus far.
But (you knew this was coming, right?!?), I think that there are some redundant and therefore not really needed notifications getting triggered which then are unnecessarily inconveniencing unsuspecting electrons:
If somebody replies to my comment/response to a thread I'm following, I get two notifications pointing at the same comment. One notification would be enough and it doesn't much matter which of the two wins out (although the direct response one contains a bit more useful information).
If I respond in a thread I'm following, I also get a notification which isn't really needed as my - and at a guess most people's - short term memory is good enough to remember what just got posted!
Any chance of getting rid of the notifications in these two cases?
Thanks much and Cheers
Bärbel
Hi, Bärbel:
We rolled out some changes today that should eliminate most of these duplicate notifications. Learn more at https://blogs.sap.com/2020/11/02/updates-to-communications-settings-to-reduce-duplication-of-notific....
