Unable to create a folder with \ in beginning in SAP MII Workbench

Hi,

I am trying to create a folder in SAP MII 15.4 Workbench with this syntax \XYZ\ABC\ however it is giving an error and thus I am unable to create it. Could you please give me few pointers.

Hi Aditya,

The '\' character is not allowed as a valid folder name character in MII.

If you use this syntax /XYZ/ABC you will get a copy of the folder under which you are trying to create the folder and then folders under folders like this:

• Root Folder: AAAA
• After trying to create /XYZ/ABC:
• AAAA ->AAAA->XYZ->ABC

You can use the underscore (_), dash (-) and dot (.) characters in a folder name.

If you want to create a folder->subfolder hierarchy, you will have to create the folders and subfolders manually in Workbench.

What is your use case for this folder naming convention?

Hi Steve,

Thank you for your response. We are working on version upgrade from SAP MII 14.0 to 15.4 version and in 14.0 we have a subfolder created with this syntax \XYZ\ABC\ under Web thus we need similar folder in 15.4 version.
