1. We do have a requirement to list the Substances (specifications) in a Work Area including the specifications attached to the lower level work areas of the selected Work Area in a heirarchical manner, is there any standard transaction or Function module to acheive this functionality?
2. Is there any other way to link a Substance to Work Area other than the Exposure Profile/Agent?
I don't think we have specification assignment in work area other than exposure profile/ Agent.
It's your decision how you are going to maintain.
1. For ex: In IHS Data, add one more characteristic as specification.
In Class - SAP_EHS_1101_001
To fetch the value SUBID in that charqacteristic, from the table ESTRH - you have to go for custom function module. and maintain the same in the characteristic > values > other value check > Func. Module

2. in DATA INTEGRATION
Add one more tab in customizing maintain with the custom program to fetch the value of SUBIB.
