SAP EHS Fiori issues

Hello Team,

I am not able to generate a WWI document in fiori using cg02. Is this functionality not supported in fiori or i am missing something. I am able to generate a WWI document gui.

the term "Ad hoc" report is used according to my understanding in "Recipe Development" (e.g. https://userapps.support.sap.com/sap/support/knowledge/en/2634164)

There might be a "conflict" to other Software scenarios (e.g. https://blogs.sap.com/2020/03/31/ad-hoc-reporting-in-advanced-compliance-reporting/).

Regarding this "Ad hoc" part. I could not find many informations (e.g. https://answers.sap.com/questions/321314/wwi-plm-report-generation.html)

So from my point of view: in EHS Classic we have "Create from template" and "Create Report". In Recipe Development you have the "Ad hoc report" variant

PS: regarding your commernts how SAP is using terms (and how the "meaning" of the term is changing): i can agree

You have some many variants of the term "Product Compliance" in SAP Strategy... can be confusing from time to time

PPS: you will find threads discussing lot of types of "frustration" of a consultan using SAP EHS classic; most popular is the use of "WWI" as the tool

Dear all

according to my knowledge: "Cg02" is "rendered" in SAP Fiori. So the transaction as such is available. But we have two options for WWI generation. The "create from template" and the "generate report" option.

For the first one: i am not sure if it will work; but the second must work. But the trouble still remains. As in CG54 you would like to may be "show" the generated document. So here again: the WWI process should be started (and if it will work.. i have here no personal experience in doing so)

May be: In a nutshell: do not use EHS classic using modern Fiori elements and just stick with the log on using SAP Gui and you are on the safe side

I might be wrong, but I think “Report from Template” and “Create Report” have been replaced by “Ad-Hoc Report Specification". And as I understand it, that would be the server-side WWI generation. I find the term "ad-hoc", however, rather counter-intuitive. Because we previously used “Report from Template” for ad-hoc reports and “Create Report” to generate CG54 reports.

Would love to understand SAP's rationale here... 😉

WWI document generation is not supported by Fiori, you can use Netweaver in HTML format to view the pdf.
