Role restriction for incident depending on the incident category

Greetings Community,

We have a request from a client who wishes to restrict certain roles in the incident reporting system to only allow the submission of Safety Observations and Near Misses.

This means that users assigned to these roles should not be able to report an incident.

We understand that there is a specific object for incident categories (INC_CATEG). However, after changing the settings to include only Near Misses and Safety Observations, as shown in the attached screenshot, we found that users with the restricted role are still able to create incidents, indicating that the restrictions are not being enforced.

Could anyone provide insights on what might be causing this issue or offer recommendations on how to resolve it?

Besides, if we want to make restrictions with the ID of locations, they do not show up in the object. is there a solution to this?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Regarding the restrictions of incident categories like for example Near Misses or Safety Observations I would recommend getting a Fiori expert involved for authorizations in addition to the authorization expert.  You need to check the catalogs assigned to your roles (they should be included in your z-roles) - for App-specific authorizations.  Sometimes you restrict on the traditional authorization objects but your catalogs in that role for the Fiori app allows additional authorization and vice versa.

My next step would be to look at the catalogs with a Fiori expert, if they have authorization knowledge that would be a bonus.
