Report Shipping

Hello Experts,

In Report Shipping Process, when I trigger shipping of MSDS Report it is not printed completely. Only part of the information is displayed. Even I am not able to get Spool Logs to check the print status.

When I again tried to ship(Manual Shipping) reports are printed successfully. Could anyone suggest me where it has gone wrong first time when I try to print the reports.

Regards,

Vicky

HI Vignesh,

It is difficult to say, where exactly the problem occurs.

Part of the informations means? you got 5 pages instead of 10 pages??

(or), printing happens partly in the corners(not full page)

If printing less pages, then -

check the config - EH&S > Product Safety > Report Shipping > Report Shipping > Basic Settings > Specify shipping objects

STD_LET, If it is maintained less pages, then raise the no. of pages and test again.

If it is printing in the corners, not full page., then it could be printer setup issue in WWI server settings.

check with Basis people, ask them to re-install printer setup.

You may not get the spool logs, if the dispatcher batch job runs with the other user.

when you try to run the manual shipping, system may not consider the above settings and you get the positive result.

Hi Kamal,

Thanks for your quick reply.

The issue is if 10 pages of report needs to be printed, we get only 5 page of report.

We have already checked the configuration Settings and there is no issue with the size contraints.

Could you please help me on this.

Hi Vignesh,

Still it is difficult to talk about this without spool.

Check As follows -

If your Report shipping orders processed - select particular Report shipping order in CVD1

Select the Header

Under Document Parameters -

check the size in pages an size in bytes.

Cross check with the config settings, as mentioned earlier.

If the document parameters shows correct value, then you can check in spool....

Check Spool -

Under Managementr parameters, pick the user ID - Created by/ Last changed by.

(Probably it might be the batch job scheduling user)

T.code SP01, Input above user ID, and dates to get the correct spool.

Hope it helps...

Hi Kamal,

Thanks again for your quick response,

We checked the processed Report Shipping Order. There everything seems to be fine.

When we checked spool we were not able to get the correct spool.

This is not the case with all reports, it happens only for some reports.

My concern is that does it happens if there is a huge load in Print Server.

HI Vignesh,

If it's not happening for all Report shipping orders, then it could be purely printer related issue.

Yes, there is a chance of over load of print server.

Ask your technical/ Administratoin team to refresh the Q, and monitor.
