The totalizer action is used to transform time series data (values with explicit date/time column + values) into a summarized set of values.
These can include a time-weighted summation, time-in-state calculations, number of transitions/unique values, and other functions.
These are useful for applications such as flow or energy usage calculation, machine uptime/downtime analysis, and others.
